So… I figured out a pretty decent approximation of Trader Joe’s Spicy Fat-free Black Bean Dip.
Step 1: Puree the living crap out of the following:
15.5 oz black beans (drained & rinsed)
1/4 c water
2 T tomato paste
1/4 t onion powder
1 T apple cider vinegar
2 T honey
1/2 t salt (give/take)
1/2 t chipotle powder
1/2 t ancho powder
1/4 t cumin
1/2 t oregano
black pepper
1/4 t garlic powder
Step 2: Nom, preferably on multi-grain or TJ’s soy/flax tortilla chips.
