For clarity’s sake, I’ve added a brand spankin’ new “politics” page. I’m getting a little annoyed with assumptions, so I’ve decided to set the record straight. Or some shit like that.

We are in the process of moving, looking for a new place, and all the minute shit that goes along with that. Between that nonsense and my laptop taking a crap a few months back, I just haven’t had the time to do as much as blogging as I’d like. But never fear, I’m about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through tearing apart a proposed new NJ adoption law (which, if you don’t already know, is a more difficult topic for me to talk about than most things I blog about here).

Yeah, it does feel weird to write about nonsense like moving on my public blog. Shit like that is why I have a Livejournal, damnit!

I’ve begun to take the Angela Keaton approach to commenting on my site: comments will be approved, unapproved, edited, or deleted at my whim.

This is a paid website, and while I do hysterically laugh at the amount of traffic I receive from idiots, I’m under no obligation to publish racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise ridiculous and harassing comments.

Comments that do not fit into this category are, however, welcome and encouraged.

I put up some custom graphics, created a Facebook fan page, and imported all my old blog posts. I’m working on a ton more updates and will hopefully have them done within the next few days. I need to change some other header graphics and also tag all of my old blogspot posts. I’m debating importing and sifting through my (many) old Livejournal posts; if nothing else, it will be an interesting little journey through the land of Drunkenatheist. You readers will get to feel like you are romping through and playing in my brain.

Isn’t that exciting?

This was a nice little break from super cereal posts. Don’t worry, I plan on having one or two posts during all the site rehabbing. (The two serious ones I have in mind are one on Cash for Clunkers and another on BS Megan’s Law lists.)

Until then, you’ll just have to hang onto your panties, folks!

Testing testing one two three.

I just set up a feed for Livejournal. I’m hoping this will work okie dokie.

I’m a little concerned, though. The feed name is “da_public_blog.” As in “DA Public Blog.” As in, short for “drunkenatheist public blog.” Not as in “da” public blog. I’m not straight outta the late 80s/early 90s and I have no need to act like some dumb white kid who thinks it’s really cool to continually screech “I’M RICK JAMES, BITCH!”

I bet people won’t get it. That makes me so frowny faced.
